Demand of US dollar remained on the decline in the local currency exchange market. Moreover, rupee did not show any movement against dollar. The US greenback opened trading at Rs.85.25, remained motionless and ended the day at the same price at close of markets on Thursday.
The cable gave up major grounds versus rupee amid sharp decline in Pound’s demand on the local desk. Pound Sterling kicked off new day’s trading at Rs .125.30, incurred major losses amid decline in its demand and was changing hands at Rs.125.00 at close of markets. Thus, rupee recovered 0.30 paisas versus the Pound.
Rupee made a comeback versus greenback in the kerb dealings today amid decline in dollar’s demand. The US currency commenced new day’s trading at Rs.85/25, shed mere grounds and was changing hands at Rs.85.20 at close of markets on Wednesday. Thus, rupee made recovery of 0.05 paisas versus dollar in the kerb dealings.
